The salt flats slowly get more moist and eventually become the Great Salt Lake. A few miles west of Salt Lake City, people walk out on the salt flats until they turn to ''lake''. A fun palace or something similar, on the shore of the lake. Salt Lake City has a new and very good light rail transit system. We noticed the trains run very often.
The Lincoln Highway runs within a block of the Mormon Temple. - We took a break from driving to look around its beautiful grounds.
The Utah state capitol building. We did not go up there on this trip. - We've seen it before, and compared to the temple grounds, it is not at all impressive.
