The salt flats slowly get more moist and eventually become the Great Salt Lake.

A few miles west of Salt Lake City, people walk out on the salt flats until they turn to ''lake''. A fun palace or something similar, on the shore of the lake. Salt Lake City has a new and very good light rail transit system. We noticed the trains run very often.
The Lincoln Highway runs within a block of the Mormon Temple. - We took a break from driving to look around its beautiful grounds.
The Utah state capitol building. We did not go up there on this trip. - We've seen it before, and compared to the temple grounds, it is not at all impressive. We weren't sure what this was, but it looked like something you'd expect to see in Germany.
