The Shambles is a huge tourist area today with a variety of shops and restaurants The Minster Cathedral Part of the wall that surrounds the old city of York We visit the National Railway Museum of England
Many neat old locomotives and rail cars are on display at the museum.
We cross over the River Ouse on the way back to our hotel, the York Novotel. Thursday, August 11 -- We head north from York on the way to Scotland. - Here is a view from the coach as we cross the River Ure. Our first stop is at Hadrian's Wall from Roman times, 2000 years ago.
