We continue down the winding trail. We begin our drive around the island of Oahu in a counter-clockwise direction. - The southeast part of the island has lots of lava rock.
We stopped at various view points along the highway. A close up of Bill with his hair blowing in the wind. We saw another blow hole, like the one we saw on Kauai. This camera caught our eye. It's a widescreen high definition - video camera, the first consumer HD camera we've seen. - The viewfinder had a 16x9 aspect ratio, - and the lens could zoom way in and way out.
We ask about the camera. It's the Sony HDV and they - bought it in Taiwan for the equivalent of $5,000 US. Views seen as we travel north along the eastern side of the island. The road goes through small towns and past mountains. Near Brigham Young University we see the Mormon Temple.
