This area is all part of the Kilauea National Wildlife Refuge
and all of those white spots are birds.

These are nenes, the state bird of Hawaii. This is the lighthouse that you saw before from a distance.
Close up of a nene The ocean was a beautiful turquoise. Some of the coastal mountains as seen from the road. We're back at our motel enjoying the warm evening breezes.
The sunset as seen from the lanai of our motel room. March 31 - The next morning we notice these interesting cloud formations. We're now on the south side of the island looking at - the Spouting Horn Blow Hole that's west of Poipu. The waves come in under the lava rock and the water - shoots up into the air through a hole in the lava.
