These formations ran for miles along the highway.

We saw lots of canyons and very rough terrain. In this area we went over a hundred miles - without any services along the road. We had no complaints about the traffic! Then out of nowhere came two subway or el cars! - We managed to photograph the second one as it went by. - The ones by Wrigley Field seemed less out of place! The car is half in Nevada and half in Utah. - Look over the front windshield and you can see that - signs, fences, and survey stakes don't agree on a precise point.
Two states to go! Note that the word 'DAYLIGHT' can be removed. It's green again! And we're in California! As often is the case with mountain passes - there was a small marshy pond as we topped the Sierras. It was nice to once again be where there is WATER.
And we are home. San Francisco's fog rolls - over Twin Peaks as we roll into town.
