Traveling across Anglesey Island An oblisk near Holyhead We arrive at the Port of Holyhead for our ferry trip to Ireland.
It's a 3 1/2 hour trip from Holyhead to Dublin so we have plenty of time for lunch while on the ferry. Our first sighting of Ireland Check out the waves generated in this one narrow part of the bay.
A view of our ferry as we depart the dock in Dublin Dublin has a huge ferris wheel, too! The view seen as we depart for our hotel in Dun Laoghaire (pronounced Dun Leary) Wednesday, August 17 -- Bill woke up today feeling miserable with a terrible cough. We called for a - doctor. The doctor actually came to the hotel room, said that Bill had bronchitis and had to spend the - day in bed to rest and recover. We missed the tour of Dublin scheduled for today. I went and got Bill's - prescriptions, did our laundry, went shopping, wandered around Dun Laoghaire and took these photos. - ------------------------- - This is our hotel, the Royal Marine. We had one of the rooms - with a balcony, seen on the right, with a gorgeous view of the bay. Our hotel was on a cul-de-sac off the main street where you see the church.
