Saturday, August 13 -- This morning we leave Edinburgh and drive - across the Firth of Forth Bridge headed for Saint Andrews. That's a railroad bridge across the Firth in the distance. A closer shot of the railroad bridge with its interesting design Although it's out of focus, I had to include this picture of - the glorious fireweed seen growing along the highway.
A view of some of the Scottish low lands We arrive at Saint Andrews at the course where the game of golf was invented. This Saint Andrews beach was used in the filming of 'Chariots of Fire'.
It's definitely low tide. A church in downtown Saint Andrews We're back on the road headed for the Scottish Highlands crossing the Firth of Tay. - We have front row seats today which is perfect for our drive through this beautiful countryside. On the other side of the Firth of Tay is the city of Dundee.
