This is Conway Summit, the second one we went over, at 8,138 feet.

Not much snow was left here. The Summit Restaurant is still closed for the season. Antenna towers seen on the hill across the highway from the restaurant A close up of the antennas for you radio fans The Mono Lake Overlook
The Mono Basin Visitor's Center at Mono Lake had just opened for the season. There was still plenty of snow in the parking lot. We drove east on CA Route 120 about 5 miles to see the tufa in Mono Lake. The lake - has come up 10 feet in recent years hiding much of the tufa you used to be able to see.
