The trail ends. Hikers are allowed to continue hiking up the canyon narrows,
but you have to walk in the river for most of the hike. Bill walked two
miles up the narrows several years ago with the San Francisco Hiking
Club. He says the canyon gets very narrow and the water is icy cold.

   
We turned around and headed back to the shuttle bus.
The river has split, forming a small island. We spotted a deer in the distance.  When I zoomed in for a close up, I lost focus.
