8914C Robin Drive... the door and townhouse on the right is our old home. The two tripods
on the roof and the right TV and FM antennas were put up there by us in 1977. We sure were
surprised to see that they were still there! We had a ham antenna in the tripod on the left.

July 2: We took a ride on the CTA to downtown Chicago to look around. Here are some sights from the Windy City. - This first shot is of the Sears Tower, renamed the Willis Tower in July, 2009. It's the tallest building in the US. At the south end of Lasalle Street is the Board of Trade Building. - Larry worked at WCIU-TV on the 44th floor of the building in 1969-70. We saw this taped to the El platform support. This is the lobby of the James Thompson Center Building where state offices are located. - There are shops and a food court on the lower levels of the building. The home of WLS-TV, ABC in Chicago. The news studio can be seen through the window on the left. - If you look closely you can see the reflection in the window of the Chicago Theater across the street.
Chicago's famous El train. Several lines circle the downtown Loop. Interesting reflection. We don't know what building this is. The circular twin towers of Marina City, apartments and condominiums The new Trump International Tower, hotel and condominiums, 92 stories tall From Trump Tower, on the left, we look east along the Chicago River. - That's the Wrigley Building with the huge flag with Tribune Tower behind it.
Looking north along Michigan Avenue, the 'Miracle Mile' The famous Chicago Water Tower Water Tower Place with the Hancock Building behind it Taking a break in Water Tower Place Shopping Center It doesn't show in the photo, but each of the glass cylinders behind Bill contains a jet that shoots water into the air. - Top left you can see a guy trying to catch one of the spurts of water.
