June 30: We're back on the road again heading back north on the Mackinac Bridge as we head back to Wisconsin. A view of the Mackinac Bridge from a park on the north side. Bill with the Mackinac Bridge behind him. July 1: We came to another marker for the 45th parallel along U.S. Route 41 in Wisconsin. We'd heard that Green Bay had a famous football team.  We found the stadium!
The town of Port Washington, Wisconsin We're headed into Milwaukee on I-43.  Here you see all of the tall TV towers ahead of us. We didn't get to see much from the Interstate, but here is one view of the Rockwell Company and a church Here's another view... of a church and a school. We're headed for Chicago!
We caught a quick shot of the sign through traffic as we entered Illinois. We stopped at our old neighborhood on Robin Drive in Des Plaines - where we lived for the two years prior to moving to San Francisco. 8914C Robin Drive... the door and townhouse on the right is our old home.  The two tripods - on the roof and the right TV and FM antennas were put up there by us in 1977.  We sure were - surprised to see that they were still there!  We had a ham antenna in the tripod on the left. July 2: We took a ride on the CTA to downtown Chicago to look around.  Here are some sights from the Windy City.  - This first shot is of the Sears Tower, renamed the Willis Tower in July, 2009.  It's the tallest building in the US. At the south end of Lasalle Street is the Board of Trade Building.  - Larry worked at WCIU-TV on the 44th floor of the building in 1969-70.
