We begin our climb to the peak. You can see the trail and all the people on it. There are a lot of switchbacks. Fences keep you from falling off the trail. Another shot of the side of the hill. That's Larry on the lower right at the fence. The winding trail ends and turns into this stright climb followed by 99 steps to the top. Here's the view looking back into the crater. You can see the tunnel in the distance.
We're almost to the top. Bill on the circular spiral staircase. Bill takes the final steps to the top. He's at the top of the crater's peak. The view of Waikiki from the top of Diamond Head. There's a lighthouse on the coast below the crater's rim.
