We head north on Highway 6 passing several - beautiful lakes like this one, Lake Hawea And this one, Lake Wanaka The scenery was fantastic! We stopped many times to observe the views We saw streams falling down the mountainsides...
We crisscrossed the river several times - as we wound our way down the canyon We saw beautiful water falls... ...splashing into the clear running river We stopped for a hike in the woods A marsh. We're now at sea level.
We arrive at the west coast of New Zealand near Haast Another view of the coast and the Tasman Sea We finally get to see Mount Cook! - It's the snow covered peak in the clouds. Bill stands next to our rental car - with Mount Cook behind him We traveled across many one lane bridges on Highway 6
