This shows the way to the National Bureau of Standards Time Station
WWVH, which we visited when we were here 25 years ago.
The two national time stations (the other one is in Colorado) are exceptions
to the rule that stations west of the Mississippi River start with K instead of W.

Look closely on the horizon and you'll see Niihau, an island about 20 miles west of Kauai. Some beautiful bougainvillea seen along the highway. Other colorful flowers... don't know what they are. The path through the sugarcane to a local swimming hole and waterfall.
There were lots of lava rocks to walk over. The swimming hole and waterfall. The locals were jumping off the cliff - and then swimming over to the ladder you can see there, to climb back out. Opaekaa Falls near Hanamaulu Wailua Falls near the Fern Grotto Wailua River
Bill at the Wailua Falls overlook April 1 - Today we drove to Waimea Canyon, the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. Although it was cloudy and sprinkling rain, we still got to see the views of the canyon. More wild chickens with lots of baby chicks in one of the parking lots. Check out the beautiful feathers on this rooster.
