There was lots of foot and bicycle traffic on the bridge. Looking east up the Arno River.  The Uffizi Gallery is on the left. We're now in Mestre near Venice.  Note the sign... that's our hotel. The Hotel Villa Adele -- our home for two days.  A bus at the corner took us into Venice. - This was our only two days of gray skies and showers during the entire trip. The Scalzi Bridge across the Grand Canal. - That's Bill up there in the blue jacket. Sestier de San Polo -- a nineteenth century church - that also has a museum of Venetian works. The museum entrance and bell tower One of many small Venetian canals that run throughout the city. We stopped for drinks as we passed through the Venice fish and produce market.
