A wide view of the Forum, the birth place of Rome under Caesar. - Many of the famous quotes were supposedly made here. - 'Friends, Romans, Countrymen, lend me your ears.' The Palazzo Senatorio, the Mayoral Palace, home of today's - city government, with the equestrian statue of Marcus Aurelius Mauro and Louis at the Victor Emmanuel Monument to Italy's first king. Today we visit the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel and Saint Peter's Basilica. - There was a long line, but it moved fast and only took 45 minutes to get in.
