Larry didn't bother to take off his boots, but he got into the water a little too. These are the two stones we'll take to the East Coast. Got to get the sand out from between the toes before putting on your socks. Downtown Auburn, California-our first stop after leaving San Francisco. Traveling east on I-80 we see that there's still snow in the Sierras.
Quite a bit of snow, in fact! We stopped at Donner Pass overlooking Donner Lake. That's the Amtrak line you see in the snow above Bill's head. Another view at Donner Pass The Nevada desert was green!
