The canyon ended but you could hike further by climbing over the rocks.

Time for a rest. From the trail looking back at Badwater. Can you pick out Bill in the group of hikers?
A wideshot of Badwater, full of water! Badwater is 282 feet below sea level (that's 85.5 meters). - Can't see the decimal point on the sign. The small white sign more than halfway up the hill - above Bill's right shoulder indicates Look at all the water! This location is normally dry.
Traveling south of Badwater, we continue to drive along the lake. - Normally there is no lake here and today we saw people kayaking in it! We stop to take another close look at the flowers. Yellow wildflowers as far as the eye can see.
