March 17 - After spending the night in Beatty, Nevada, we head for Death Valley. - That's 11,049 foot Telescope Peak in the distance. Our first view of the wildflowers. We see Death Valley ahead of us. We stop frequently to get a close look at the wildflowers.
Even the bushes are flowering! Note how small these flowers are compared to Bill's shoe. Look closely behind Bill and you'll see thousands of small purple flowers.
Larry gets down for a closer look. These white flowers are growing on a white stemmed plant.
