We occasionally see flowers growing out of the canyon wall. The trail ends. Hikers are allowed to continue hiking up the canyon narrows, - but you have to walk in the river for most of the hike. Bill walked two - miles up the narrows several years ago with the San Francisco Hiking - Club. He says the canyon gets very narrow and the water is icy cold.
We turned around and headed back to the shuttle bus.
