There was interesting scenery all along our route. We spotted this huge solar power array in this open field.  Also note the dust devils in the distance.
Coming out of the hilly country into the Central Valley which you can see in the haze off in the distance. The first oil well pump we spotted. A close up of an oil well pump. We spent the night in Bakersfield and awoke to light rain.  Here you can see - the rain drops on the windshield as we continue east on CA Route 58. About an hour and a half east of Bakersfield, on the eastern side of the - Tehachapi Mountains, the rain stopped and the clouds started to break up.
