The docks on the west side of Pier 39 are the home of the sea lions. They moved
here after the 1989 earthquake, and can number from a few to several hundred.

The sea lions have become a very popular attraction. Pat, Tracy and George at the huge Fisherman's Wharf sign. One of the places to visit at the Wharf is the National Maritime Museum, part - of the National Parks System, where you can board the ships and look around. We're ready to check out the ships. The first one we visited was the Balclutha, a tall ship that used to sail between cities on the west coast.
George is ready to be captain of the ship. Tracy is checking out the interior of the ship. You get a nice view of Alcatraz, the former federal prison, from the deck of the Balclutha. There's a nice view of the Golden Gate Bridge as well. Through the masts of the ship you can see the Transamerica Pyramid - Building, Bank of America Building and a tall apartment tower.
