This is a "selfie" that Larry took on the bridge with George and Bill behind him. This tanker was headed under the bridge and out to sea. We're back at the bridge observation area. The next day was sunny and warmer when we went to Fisherman's Wharf. - This is Pier 39 where lots of other people had the same idea. The carousel at Pier 39
At the end of Pier 39, past the shops and restaurants, you get a beautiful view of the bay. - In the distance you see, l to r, Tiburon, Mt. Tamalpais, Alcatraz and Angel Island. Here you see the old liberty ship, SS Jerimiah O'Brian, the Golden Gate Bridge and the Marin Headlands. A ferry coming into the terminal. The docks on the west side of Pier 39 are the home of the sea lions.  They moved - here after the 1989  earthquake, and can number from a few to several hundred. The sea lions have become a very popular attraction.
