The Nevada state line, and the town of Primm, Nevada, coming into view.

The very first store in Primm was actually across the line in California. - Amid all the Nevada gambling excesses in the town, this store sold California lottery tickets. Lake Mead as seen from Boulder City, Nevada. We crossed Hoover Dam and parked on the Arizona side. - This is looking north up the Colorado River from the Arizona bank. During winter, Arizona and Nevada observe different times. - During our tour, we asked the guide how the dam workers there dealt - with that. He said they have agreed to all just use Nevada time.
The gold doors were quite elaborate on these towers.  They led to restrooms. - The dam was built during the Art Deco period and it oozed of it. Everyone was touching this statue's feet.  We never thought to take - a picture of it, so we don't now recall what the rest of it looked like!
