A tour boat coming from the east is about to lock through!

Just before the boat came, people had been walking across the lock. The lock began to open. Wave to the tourists! Looking west, as the boat departs. - It has passed from Lake Huron into Lake Superior. John S. liked this photo he captured of Bill.
Back home at the Johns' place, we took another day to relax. - And check e-mail. We took this photo of their place from the southeast - on the morning we were to depart. Cherry trees were loaded with fruit - in the orchard next to their house! Time for goodbyes in the driveway. Now in Evanston near Chicago, Bill visits with Lloyd Osborn - holding their Boston terrier.

Our day in Chicago starts near Wrigley Field - where the Cubs are about to play the Cardinals. Down in Belmont Harbor on the lakefront - people gather to play with their dogs. Rick Martin and Bill. Rick spent the day with us.
