Austin, Nevada. The towns on U.S. 50 are 90 miles apart, so it was good to see a town.

We had lunch at the International Cafe. Their fresh fruit pies were excellent! We will see a lot of businesses named ''Lincoln'' in the next few days. - We promise not to take pictures of all of them. Looking down on Austin as we leave town heading east. In the spring there are still shades of green among the vegetation we'll see - in the next few days. Later in the year it would all just be brown.
U.S. 50 winds over a mountain pass and then goes straight across the next valley. We passed more than a dozen old cars with Idaho and Montana plates. - One of the drivers said they were all in an old car club - and were headed for some event for owners of old cars. - They weren't specifically driving their old cars on the - Lincoln Highway because it is an old highway. - Later in the trip we will meet others with old cars who were.
