Saturday, April 18 -- There were palm trees everywhere. A view of Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head from near the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. A group heads out for a ride on a Catamaran. A view of some of the surfers and swimmers. Note the girl on the paddle board. Larry found some beautiful hibiscus flowers. Bill found some tulip flowers on the ground under this tree and put them in his bandana.
A close up Bill with the flowers in his hair This is what they use for bicycle racks in Honolulu... cute! We had lunch with friend Bob Badham who lives on Oahu. We took a walk along Ala Wai Canal at the northern edge of Waikiki. Sunday, April 19 -- Bill is standing near the east end of Kuhio Street where you can see Diamond Head - in the distance. The lei was given to Bill by a woman at the restaurant where we had breakfast. We went out for a walk in the neighborhood on the north side of the - Ala Wai Canal. Note how the homes are built on the sides of the hills.
