After lunch we walk along the river.  It's the Main, the same river that flows through
Frankfurt.  Atop the hill is the Marienburg Fortress, where we will have our second tour at 3 pm.

From a bridge over the Main, we see the downtown area of Würzburg. Historic city hall of Würzburg and the Dome (cathedral) in the background. A view of the River Main from the bridge with the Fortress on the hill. We arrive at the Marienburg Fortress, which the Celts began to build in the year 1222. - It was heavily damaged during World War II and not fully restored until 1990.
