Steffen at the fountain at Hauptwache in Frankfurt's central shopping - district.  Hauptwache is the historic main guard of the old city center. My hotel room in Frankfurt Friday, July 31 - We drive to Würzburg, about 75 miles from Frankfurt, to take two tours and visit the city. -  This is the Residence, the lavish home of the Prince-Bishop, built in 1720 in Baroque style.
While waiting for the tour to start, I took a couple of photos, but - was then told that photography wasn't allowed inside the building. - This is the main stairway of the Residence. The ceiling of the main entry to the building After the tour, we took a self-guided tour of the grounds and garden. The lavish gates to the beautiful gardens of the Residence.
