This is a wide view of the Frankfurt skyline.  On the left, you see the Commerzbank tower.
The Commerzbank is Germany's second largest bank.  The tall building with the radio tower
on the right is the Maintower building, home of the public savings bank for the states of Hessen
and Thuringia.  We'll soon be going to the top of the Maintower building to check out the view.

The symbol for the European Central Bank, in front of the Eurotower, - the location of the former ECB headquarters building in Frankfurt. - It used to be the home of the European currency, the Euro. We're approaching the Maintower building, where we will - take the elevator up to the viewing platform at the top. This is the view from the top of the 56 floor Maintower building looking west. - The building on the left is the tower of Deka-Gruppe, a company - providing mutual funds, and on the right the Deutsche Bank towers. Moving counter-clockwise, we see the main train station with the Main River on the far left. You see a better view of the Main River here.  Note the white area above the tall - buildings far away in the background.  That is Frankfurt's international airport.
This tall building is the Commerzbank Tower. The historic city center of Frankfurt, with the Main River - on the right.  On the left, note the tree-lined street which is - the pedestrian zone named 'Zeil' and the main shopping district. Looking north from the observation deck, note the historic - opera house towards the left of the picture.  It is now used for - distinguished concerts and other more fashionable events. In the distant view to the north you see the Taunus mountains rising at the horizon. Larry and Steffen on the observation deck
