Looking west on Damrak

There are lots of tours and canal rides available here. Looking east on Damrak back toward Centraal Station. Looking west on Damrak toward Dam Square where the street is lined with shopping and places to eat. You see familiar brand names wherever you go. The Royal Palace on Dam Square with Magna Plaza, a huge shopping - mall, on the left and Neiuwe Kerk (New Church) on the right.
I try taking a selfie with the National Monument in Dam Square. - The monument memorializes the victims of World War II. One of the many canals of Amsterdam. Note that wherever you look you see bicycles here. It's Pride Week in Amsterdam so there are banners and flags all over. Looking down Warmoesstraat, where many gay businesses and bars are located.
