We head over to the Damrak, the main street that runs from Centraal Station - to Dam Square.  As you can see, there are lots of people on the streets here! One of the GVB trams that provide transportation across the city. Damrak near Centraal Station Looking west on Damrak There are lots of tours and canal rides available here.
Looking east on Damrak back toward Centraal Station. Looking west on Damrak toward Dam Square where the street is lined with shopping and places to eat. You see familiar brand names wherever you go.  The Royal Palace on Dam Square with Magna Plaza, a huge shopping - mall, on the left and Neiuwe Kerk (New Church) on the right. I try taking a selfie with the National Monument in Dam Square. - The monument memorializes the victims of World War II.
