As we headed back south, storm clouds continued to build and
we ended up going through heavy rain for about 15 minutes.

The storm clouds cleared and we got bright sunshine again.  - This is a narrow canyon formed over the years by a small creek. The view seen as we descend from the high meadows We're back on U.S. 40 headed east toward Colorado We cross the state line into Colorado
This is the area we just traveled through in Utah, now behind us We stop for a break at a view area We saw rolling hills like this for miles and miles We're starting to get into the Rockies now
The ski slopes near Steamboat Springs, Colorado Downtown Steamboat Springs July 10: We spent the night in Steamboat Springs.  The next morning we spotted balloons from the weekend festival. Climbing towards Rabbit Ears Pass, we get this sweeping view of the valley behind us. We've reached the Continental Divide at Rabbit Ears Pass
